Arthur is the founder and Chairman of Evopoint Bio. He is also the founder of Apricot Capital, a renowned life science VC in China.
Arthur has 20 years of industry and capital market experience in life science. He previously served as the managing director and head of healthcare research with CICC. While working at CICC, he was ranked as No.1 healthcare analyst of China & HK market by Asiamoney (2014-2017) and top 3 analyst by Institutional Investor (2015-2017).
Arthur received his bachelor degree in Pharmacy from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, MS in Finance from Fudan University, and Ph.D. in Economics from Tsinghua University. He also completed the Cancer Biology and Therapeutics post-graduate program from Harvard Medical School.
Arthur enjoys running when he has rare moments of ‘free time’ from work and kids.
Jason has nearly 30 years of medical and business management experience with multinational pharmaceutical companies. Prior to co-founding Evopoint Bio, Jason served as the BU head of Bayer China and successfully led the launch and sales of multiple top-selling drugs in China. In addition to his achievement at MNCs, Jason was also a successful entrepreneur in the biotech industry.
Jason received his M.D. and MBA degree from Zhejiang University and EMBA from Peking University.
Fred has nearly 30 years of R&D experience in multinational pharmaceutical companies such as Wyeth and Pfizer. Prior to co-founding Evopoint Bio, he was Vice President of R&D at Shanghai ChemPartner.
Fred received his bachelor degree from University of Science and Technology of China, MSc from Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from University of Southern California.
In his spare time, Fred takes pleasure in capturing the beautiful moments of life through photography.
Jun has more than 20 years of R&D and business experience with MNC, including Pfizer, Eli Lilly and Sanofi, and biotech companies. He also co-founded Northlake International and several other biotech startups.
Jun received his bachelor degree from Peking University, MS in Chemistry from University of Pittsburgh, and MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
Outside of constant travel and meetings, he enjoys coaching his kids’ sports activities.
David has more than 15 years of R&D experience in various roles in MNC, biotech and CROs. Prior to joining Evopoint Bio, he served as Director and Senior Director at EMD Group and Eurofins Scientific, respectively.
David received his bachelor degree from University of Science and Technology of China, and Ph.D. from University of Louisville.
Outside of work, David enjoys reading books across diverse fields, engaging with the ideas of great minds through their written words and drawing inspiration for both his personal growth and professional endeavors.
Wengui has nearly 30 years of CMC development experience with multinational pharmaceutical companies and CROs. He previously served as the head of the Jinshan Lab of WuXi AppTec. He also led the establishment of CMC business at Pharmaron
Wengui holds a Master's degree from the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Ph.D. from the University of Montreal. He also completed his training as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University.
With spare time from work, Wengui enjoys hiking and staring at the ocean.
James has nearly 30 years of experience in clinical research and development of innovative medicines in various therapeutic areas, including leadership roles at Pfizer, AstraZeneca and BMS. He was formerly Senior Director of Clinical Pharmacology at AstraZeneca, and Director of Clinical Development at BMS. James also published more than 100 research articles and conference abstracts in clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics, etc.

Liqun has over 10 years of experience in target protein degradation (TPD) drug discovery and platform development at top TPD biotech and CROs. Prior to joining Evopoint Bio, he served as Director of MedChem at Cullgen.
Liqun holds his Ph.D. from East China University of Science and Technology/Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, CAS, and completed his postdoctoral training at University of Colorado Boulder.
Liqun enjoys cooking for the family in his spare time.
